leaving in 5 days to arrive in the Isle of man ( my home town) just in time for the races. would encourage anyone to make the trip. My personal favorite are the side car races in September. Although it is an inconvenience to the Manx people to have all the main roads close and become the course, they embrace it twice a year. It is just one of many things that make the island so special……..

They should make a game of this race. Seriously… what would be more fun than trying it out yourself in first person safely on your tv screen? :PSome of us dont have the money to travel and watch and even then its dangerous! But a game would be amazing. I would definetely try it.

Couldn’t have said it better. It’s unfortunate that the consequence of doing so usually results in death for these guys, but thats what makes it the most prestigious race. If i remember correctly 2 riders and 3 spectators die on average every year

yes i hated it also especially when it rained, nasty job. And yes good point i dont really watch motor super bikes or formula 1 anymore, for the exact reasons you have pointed out..i still cant believe how fast their going around the island, its just intense..brilliant.

I did that for a bit in London a few years back after loosing my job when the banks went. I hated it mate lol. Long hours, a pain in the ass having to hang around (time is money ofc), cameras, ticket wardens waiting like vultures etc etc. Long distance would be ok.Yeah these guys own motor sports. On top of all you say, they do it on stock production bikes (more or less) and then the SBK’s. Not these million $ GP bikes with multi million $ tracks.Makes me humble

I had a few bikes and used to be a courier in London back in the 1980,s .pahhhh !! its nothing at all, watching this was exciting, the dedication, skill, the want to achieve to win, its made me lost for words , just so fast, the concentration and how on earth can these guys do this, i will be watching and following the TT this year, this video has just made me want to watch, if i could i would even go there just to watch in amazement , fantastic, total respect to all involved .

Yeah especially the litre class. The best way to get an idea of how much skill these guys have is to get on a 1000cc sports bike and lean the bike as much as you can. It’s here where it get’s scary on the litre class and you have to be so careful with the throttle.The bike has so much torque that an extra 1/16th (and the manner in which you twist the throttle) can mean the difference between riding and whiping. Their throttle control is epic.
