FireWeem Dyno Run

Its funny when you go to different places that have Dyno machines.
Every one of them claim to have the most accurate one and poo-poo every other shop that has a dyno 😀

Like theirs is the only one in the world that’s calibrated right …. muppets 😀

This is another wee vlog from the summer archive…
It was a hot summer’s day during a bike event over at PowerBiking in High Wycombe when I put the FireWeem on for a dyno run.

On this dyno I saw figures of 155bhp and 81lb/ft. I’ve seen it in another shop with 163bhp and 77lb/ft just after it was mapped with the new exhaust.
Same dyno manufacturer and model, just a different shop…… go figure 😉

The most important bit for me was seeing the big fat level dollop of smooth torque that bike makes from 5,000 rpm right up to 11,000 rpm.
You do feel it for sure. Crank it on in 2nd or 3rd and at 8,000 it will pull the front up … which is a bit unexpected when you’re used to tootling about.

If you’ve seen my 0-100 run you’ll see that a bike doesn’t need big power to perform well. You could have an H2R with 300bhp, but if you can’t put the power down then it’s no better than … a 155bhp Fireblade 😉
