It’s not much but in London it’s a big deal. In London you could be dying and nobody will cross the street to help. Your comment about Indians is a naive generalization, not least because India is a nation made up of many races. I have Indian roots myself and have done more than this. However it’s really unusual for such acts to bring recognition or any kind of reward. There is also such the halo effect, e.g. a gurkha fending off a drunk on Friday night is commended as a great warrior.

Some of you might know but there’s an org. called Bikers Against Child Abuse, they basically hang out with young victims and help them build confidence through friendship by supporting them with a true sense of protection. It’s one of my favorite organizations, I understand that of all crimes C.A. is the most hated even among murderers. So why aren’t groups like BACA getting the support they deserve?
