Every time I watch any IOM TT video my heart rate increases by about 50 bpm and I get chills down my spine! I went to the 2013 TT for the first time this year, amazing, incredible, balls of titanium fused with carbon fibre!!

People who just want a comfortable cruiser do buy Harleys and not because they are Harleys. We have people from all walks of life buy a Harley. It is plenty more than an exaggeration and I literally have folders to prove it. I work at a motorcycle dealership where we sell sportbikes and cruisers. Harleys isn’t really about showing nor do most people buy them for that. They buy them because they probably feel they are the best at what they are. They are sensible. They aren’t all overpriced.

It isn’t much more than exaggeration. People who just want a cruiser to ride for long distances comfortably would choose something more sensible and for a much better price. But then people who want to show off and get everyone’s attention would choose a Harley. But then, there are some mixes between the two, so it doesn’t apply to everyone within those lines. I’m just talking about majorities here.

Those probably are newcomers to the Snaefell mountain course. Not every TT rider is a TT crack. A very important factor in being competitive in the TT is knowing the track (and I mean really knowing where every last little bump is located). That’s why John Mcguinness is so good, although Michael Dunlop was something else this year (to the point that it was actually scary to watch him ride). So it is logical that newcomers are so much slower (leaving the fact that they ride inferior bikes aside).
