This was my first ever ride around the IOMTT circuit where I could see.
The evening before I toured round it twice, but it was in the pouring rain except in the mountain where it was so foggy that I had about 50ft visibility.

A new day and dry boots and I’ was off.
This is a real world ride around the circuit, so I observe speed limits, get stuck in traffic, but it gives me time to look at the sights 🙂

Later in the day I recorded a flying lap (around 45 mins), but the camera failed on me 🙁
I’ll just have to go back and do it again 😀

Below is a time map of the corners. If you see one I’ve missed, not put up, or the time/place is wrong then please let me know 🙂

Hello there +WeeemRCB Great video for the TTIOM, Isle of Man and commentary while riding well and safely (Polite on the public roads at the same time)(Well appreciated) I have lived here for the 10 years (expat from South Africa) and seen many a videoReally Liked yours.Hope you do not mind me sharing it with my friends back in South Africa via Twitter and FacebookThank youEd

    • Rex, I’m pretty sure it’s the narrator’s mentions of masturbation, with nary a caveat about hairy palms or sinnin’, that freak the parents out. And maybe also the youth drinking that’s mentioned, though it’s certainly not glamorized in the slightest. I don’t think my 10-year-old is ready for Alexie’s &#i;D0228ary” yet, but I’ll certainly hang onto the hardcover for a few years so he can read it at 12 or 13ish.

When would you recommend to do the tour, outside of racing and all the crowds, with accommodation widely available??

  • anthonyrgray 2 years ago

Good effort mate, very useful indeed. Did the mountain earlier…..didn’t even remember doing it due to all the attention and chaos around me. Good to recap with your video 🙂

Great video. Thanks for this perspective. I’m absulotly sure, that the Isle of Man is worth a traverling without the races. This seems to be an awesome aera.

Greetings from PNW USA – been following you via Baron for a bit. You have a great heart, which is what matters. Wonderful to see you do the IOM. Great to see at trawler (fish trolling = kerb crawling) speed compared to “Milky” pace. Brings things into perspective. Please -encourage more – details let’s all of us appreciate the island more. From the land of Bonneville Salt Flats – Cheers

Thanks for posting this, gives a nice perspective of the road course and the towns it travels through. I made a flight sim based motorcycle simulated ride of the Isle of Man TT course in FlightGear.

What happened to the text boxes indicating milestones and circuit markers (names of corners etc?) I think it’s awesome that someone actually took the time to get “normal” footage of the entire track at regular day to day speeds. More of a Tourist perspective. Makes learning the course a bit easier as well. I’m surprised the IOM Tourism organization hasn’t done this, the signs are hard to read via GoPro. Hey Milky – how about a slow speed learning video so we can appreciate the high speed ones more? Cheers and thanks Weeem

This is, as the tittle suggests a slow ride round the TT course, as in not at racing speeds, more like the speeds we have to do it most of the year round. He is a first time visitor to the Island and its nice to hear about it from a different perspective and his commentary is interesting too.It is quite a long video but that how long it takes to ride the circuit safely and legally, well worth the watch though if you have any interest in the TT and/or the Isle of Man

Hey weeem, I am from the island and just started vlogging, was really interesting watching someone else’s reaction to the course, glad you appreciated and respected it.I remember my first lap of the whole course on a ybr125 on mad Sunday TT 08, was scary fun and eye opening. You planning on coming over again?

Lovely to see the Island course like this; thanks for the opportunity. I live in NZ (although born and raised in the UK), which is about as far away from the IOM as you can get, but as a lifetime biker (71 now!) doing TT week is top of my Bucket List….. Must get another Lotto ticket tomorrow….. 🙂

    • This enables originzataons to locate a large number of potential employees who have other commitments and cannot work set hours each week. Job to provide nutritious food. {||||

Succes allemaal!

  • WeeemRCB 4 years ago

The mountain is better suited to fast riders (I’m not quick anymore 🙁 ), but I really liked the more open country roads like Quarry Bends or Laurel Bank through to Sarah’s Cottage

  • picklepoo98 4 years ago

I’m not gonna lie, I didn’t “watch” it all but I did listen to all of it. I don’t think I’ve ever watched a video so long, it must be love.Weeeem is smooth. I change my riding if there’s someone behind me, silly really.Stay so I can come and visit you.

  • ProjectTriz 4 years ago

what was your favourite bit? id love a bash on the mountain road on a good day, but i suppose thats the only place you can really blast it.

  • WeeemRCB 4 years ago

The normal road bit was easier/faster in reverse, but coming down the mountain was sooooo steep & twisty compared to the fast & smooth Kate’s Cottage/Creg-Ny-Ba side.Would be borderline suicidal doing it in reverse 😀

  • Theedappa 4 years ago

I’ve always wondered if the TT guys could do the circuit in reverse, or would they just not compute? haha but anyway that was really fun and you were right, I did enjoy it a lot thanks 😀

  • WeeemRCB 4 years ago

I had a great time and there are so many other roads, not just the circuit that are just as amazing. Keep an eye out for the next/last vlog 😉
